Internet Addresses To Run Out In Less Than A Year

According to John Curran -president and CEO of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) - we will deplete out the supply of internet addresses in less than a year's time. This was echoed by Vint Cerf, Google's Chief Internet Evangelist.

There has been an outbreak of data about on the Web mainly due to sensor data, smart grids, RFID and other internet information. The tremendous increase in mobile devices connecting to the internet and the annual growth in user-generated content on the web are also responsible for the exhaustion of IP addresses.

At present, the web uses IPv4 or Internet Protocol version 4. An IPv4 address has a 32-bit number, so there are at most over 4 billion unique addresses. IPv6, on the other hand uses a 128-bit address, so it supports an overwhelmingly larger number of unique addresses. In fact, with IPv6, each person on the planet can have more than 4 billion addresses!

At this point only about 6% of IPv4 addresses remain unused. Experts agree these should run out near the year's end. This is also an issue that internet service providers (ISPs) and telecoms carriers must contend with.

India Targets Switch To IPv6 By March 2012

India Targets Switch To IPv6 By March 2012

India announced plans to switch the country from IPv4 to IPv6. It is ordering all entities-from federal and state government ministries to public sector companies-to migrate to the new internet protocol version by March of 2012.

The main reason for the switch is the impending depletion of available IP addresses under the IPv4 protocol. Experts predict that there's less than one year before the full IPv4 address table is completely used up. That's 4.3 billion IP addresses, a negligible number compared to the number of possible addresses provided by IPv6: two to the power of 128.

A future rollout of new 3G and broadband wireless access services is pressuring country to switch over to IPv6 soon. The country has completed auctioning licenses for both and it plans to begin rolling out 3G spectrum officially in September.

Windows 7 automatically installs the Startup Repair tool that work as computer repair software onto partition where the OS is located, as a result you will have the access to it all the time.

If your system does not boot by default, Windows 7 automatically loads Startup Repair, one of the important computer repair services and scans your PC for issues, then repairs these files at its convenient possible time.

The system then reboots, as normal, and hopefully restarts without any issues. If you have windows 7 installation disk, you can boot the disk anytime and simultaneously run the repair tool. For doing this you need to remember that the BIOS is set to boot to the optical drive, at this time one need to insert the CD and to restart the system.

As a reminder, it is necessary to make System at restore points and backup your data every day, as this option will not work if you have a hardware problem and need to buy another hard drive.
